The Propaganda of Kim Jong Un
What is Propaganda?
Propaganda means information which is not a main goal and is used basically to motivate a public or the audience and moreover it is like agenda, Propaganda is used often for presenting facts selectively to motivate a particular perception, or by using manipulated massages to generate an emotional rather than a rational response to the information that is presented. It is a method that was often used to influence opinions and beliefs on religious issues, particularly during the split between the protestant churches and the Roman churches. Propaganda is generated with the plan prepared by the governments, religious organizations, companies and the media can also prepare propaganda.
Why have you picked a particular event or news to showcase the use of propaganda?
I have decided to write about propaganda of Kim Jong Un as he is the most featured person in the media world and I am actually inspired by the movie based on Kim Jong Un and North Korea. The movie “interview” features the film star Rogen and James Franco as a journalist who gets an opportunity to interview with the supreme leader of the North Korea Kim Jong Un. Rogen and James Franco are recruited by the CIA to assassinate Kim Jong Un. This film is also heavily inspired by a vice documentary which was shot in 2012 in North Korea by an American. The interview filming started in Vancouver, British Columbia, on October 10, 2013, and was finished on December 20, 2013.The movie premier was done in Los Angeles on December 11, 2014 and scheduled in wide release in UK and Ireland. Due to hacker’s threats on December 16, Rogen and James Franco had to cancel all the television advertisement of the movie and the movie was banned in North Korea as well. I am writing on about Kim Jong Un and how he uses his propaganda as he is one of the spotlight in the world and I feel it’s essential to know about the situation of north Korea under the rule of Kim Jong Un and how people of north are living in sense about their freedom, how Kim Jong Un spends 80% of countries income in military and why he doesn’t allow his people to use internet in his country.
