1. LAKE SAIFUL MULUK
This lake is situated in northern side of Kaghan Valley. It is one of the highest altitude lakes with nearly 3244 meters above sea level. Legends told that this lake signify the love story of a Persian prince and a fairy. The influence of lake’s enchantment is of such extent that it is believed by people that fairies come down to late in full moon.
2. SHANGRILLA LAKE
This lake is located on distance of about 20 min from Skardu City. Basically this lake composed of two lakes known as Upper Kachura and Lower Kachura Lake. It is part of Shangrilla Resort and is one of famous tourist points. Shangrilla is taken from Chinese word meaning “Heaven on Earth”.
3. ANSOO LAKE
Ansoo Lake is located in Kaghan Valley and about 16000 feet above the sea level. It is called Ansoo (Tear) Lake because of its water drop like shape. It attracts many tourists from all around world every year not only for its soothing beauty but also for adventurous visit. Because tourists have to rely on camping due to absence of any hotel in surroundings.
4. RATTI GALI LAKE
This lake is like a place you will ever dream of visiting. Indeed, this lake is more attractive than anyone can dream. This lake is situated in Neelam Valley, Azad Kashmir at an altitude of 12,130 feet above the sea level. The Charm of lake is effectively increased by the lush green pasture, filled with alpine grass and flowers. This lake is accessed from Dowarian by a 19Km hiking trek.
5. SATPARA LAKE
Another breathtaking natural lake located near Skardu, Gilgit Baltistan. It is situated nearly about 8500 feet above the sea level. It is one of largest fresh water lakes in Pakistan which supplies water to Skardu Valley. It is fed by the Satpara Stream and spread over an area of 2.5Km2. It is surrounded by raging mountains that are covered with ice especially in winter.
