In the early six hundreds the average country of Islam would begin to spread and later on become one huge community/country. The spreading of Islam was beginning all because of a man named Muhammad ibn Abdullah. Muhammad was a spiritual man, proclaimer of the famous document, The Quran, and would later on be the founder of the great Islam. It all started in 610 in Mecca, Saudi Arabia when Muhammad went to go pray in a cave on Mt. Hira. When there, Archangel Gabriel gave Muhammad words to recite. These words said that Allah was the one god. This was the beginning/birth of the new holy Islam. Islam spread so quickly because of all the trade going on, the weakness of the Persian Empire and the Byzantine Empire and military conquest, and because of religious messages/messages from God being sent out to the public and different cultures
One reason Islam spread so quickly is because of all the trade going on. There were many trade routes surrounding and going out from Mecca. This created the opportunity for the Islamic religion to spread across more lands. For example, in Document A, there is a map shown of trade routes coming out from Mecca. You will notice that Mecca and/or Medina are the areas that are surrounded by the most trade routes. Because of Arabia’s convenient location, this allowed people from both empires (Persian and Byzantium) to come and witness the latest and upcoming religion forming. Also in Document A, you will notice that the trade routes lead to major/popular locations such as: India, East Africa, China, and Spain. The good thing about all of these trade routes is when people arrive in Arabia to trade (which many people did) it gave these people the chance to observe the Islamic belief and bring it back to their homes where they could copy the religion and make Islam spread. After the faith spread through communities, the faith could be passed on through different cultures. This was all because of the trade and when people traveled to Arabia to trade. One reason Islam spread so quickly is because of all the trade going on.
Another reason Islam spread so quickly is because of the weaknesses of the Persian and Byzantine Empires and military conquest.
