Facial expressions are accountable for a massive fraction of non-verbal communication it can show a person how they the feel with the expressions, like eye contact, pupil size, blinking a lot or if a person smiles or frowns.
It is important because that look on the individuals face is mostly the first thing a person will notice even before they start to do anything. Facial expression shows true feelings about a person knowing their happy or not. The expressions on the individual face can help the counsellor identify what is going on.
Proxemics is an important type of non-verbal way of communication. Personal space is something that is needed there should be the amount of distance that the client and therapist should comfortably shake hands and when sitting with a client the counsellor should be close enough to hear the clients voice easily.
They feel the security of ownership and it is influenced by many factors such as social norms, personality characteristics, especially to remember every culture has different concepts.
Paralinguistic include factors like the tone of the voice, volume, rhythm. The voice of a person can have a strong effect when talking in a sentence. The counsellor analyses the voice of the client when talking loud or soft tone.
The counsellor can identify anything from the tone of the client’s voice. If the client has a strong tone in their voice the counsellor may clarify an endorsement of interest. If the same words spoken in a reluctant tone of voice the counsellor may carry out a dissatisfaction of interest.
